Reading covers the concepts, but watching someone debug a real accessibility issue - or hearing a practitioner talk through a hard case on a podcast - fills in the parts that don’t come across in a blog post. These are worth putting in a podcast app or watch-later list.

A11ycasts with Rob Dodson #

A11ycasts is a 30-episode YouTube series from Rob Dodson, most episodes 5-15 minutes long. It’s built around a simple idea: show accessibility problems and fixes at the platform level, in the browser, rather than as slides. Good starting point if you want to see a screen reader actually respond to a code change instead of just reading about it.

#A11y Rules is Nicolas Steenhout’s weekly interview show, running since 2017 with close to 200 episodes. Every episode has a human-edited transcript, which is worth knowing if you’d rather read than listen. The format is straightforward: a 30-minute conversation with someone working in accessibility, developer, designer, researcher, or someone with a disability talking about what actually gets in their way online.
